3rd November – This was one of my first music
lessons so we just learnt the basics and my teacher tried to start to teach me
how to play the bass and where all of the notes are and taught me how to find
the notes.
10th November – In this lesson I carried on being
taught how to find the notes and this is starting to help me a lot when reading
tabs and when I need to play in general. I think i can nearly find all the notes very easily now.
17th November – My instrumental teacher tried to
teach me how to play slapstick bass which I found difficult but he said it
takes practice and that I will get there in the end.
1st
December – In this lesson I started to learn the music my teacher has given
me and also we started to talk about what other song I would like to play and
if he can help me start to learn what I need to learn for my rehearsal.
8th December – This lesson I started to get better at the music he gave
me as I have started to play it at a higher tempo now which mean I can now play
in the way it’s meant to be played which is a lot higher and faster tempo and I
need to learn how to play the whole thing through smoothly without messing up.
15th December – This was my final lesson of the year but during it I had
some difficulties, while playing at a much faster tempo the beat got too quick
for me to play and I had to slow it right back down again. This meant I was
playing it a lot smoother but at the same time not how it was meant to be
played.
5th January – My first lesson of the year and over Christmas I had been
practicing my bass a lot so I now have the whole of the piece my teacher has
been trying to teach me polished and also at the right tempo so I played it all
through for him and he told me it was very good so he said we would move on
next lesson.
12th January – As my teacher said last lesson we
started a new piece of music this lesson called progressive rock and we started
to learn a part of that. The part we learnt was fairly easy so I learnt it in
about 15 mins then I just looped it round until the end of the lesson.
